Toe2Toe has found a unique way to help Montreal’s homeless people
“We have to give back, we have to help our own,” he said.
While Byer, 35, recognizes that giving money or donating clothing to the needy are among some of the most common ways to help, he recently decided to do something else: give socks. And not just a few pairs; Byer donated 1,000 pairs of socks to a charity called Toe2Toe.
Byer was inspired when he heard about the non-profit organization run by Montrealer Chris Costello. Byer was attending a soccer event in the West Island for his daughter and saw that the organizers had teamed up with Toe2Toe. After doing some research, Byer fell in love with the idea.
